The THINK PINK! Breast Cancer Awareness Programme was held yesterday October 12, 2010 at Bangsar Village II. It was organized by the Pantai Group of Hospitals under The Pantai Group Berhad. The event was attended by high ranking officials of the Pantai Group, Dr. Chan Boon Kheng, the CEO, Datin Soheir Khatib, the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, several VIPs, sponsors of the events,The three local beauty queens, Thanuja Ananthan Miss World Malaysia 2009, Chantelle Chuah Miss International Malaysia 2010 and also Deborah Priya Henry Miss Malaysia World 2007, media representatives and bloggers too.!

The event started at around 11.08am with the trio dance performers dance to the tune of OMG by Usher and a fast tempo Janet Jackson song. After the performance, there was a brief opening speech by the CEO Dr. Chan Boon Kheng.
In his speech Dr. Chan explained that The Pantai Hospitals has been actively doing many events to increase awareness about breast cancer and has been doing thousands of chemotheraphies for the last 10 years!, and the fact that early scans and treatment would help reducing the advancement of the cancer and the recovery rate is about 98 percent!.
and then was followed by the revealling of the official banner of the Breat Cancer Awareness by the several invited VIPs. The events then proceeded to the mementos presentation to the sponsors.

According to them, this first time corporate initiative is aimed to improve the awareness to the public in general through a veriety of platforms where the activities are conducted at various avenues through the Think Pink! @ Workplace, Think Pink! @ Streets and Think Pink! @ Online. Think Pink! @ Hospitals is a platform which leverage on many hospital led breast cancer awareness activities.

At the end session of the event was a photograph opportunities for the media to take photos of the VIPs and the celebrities who attended the event. By 11.30am, the event has ended. It was that simple.

And please to note and I wish to thank Datin Shoheir, Miss Shirley Wong and Dr. Chan himself for being the most gracious and friendly host to everyone. It was seen that most of the attendees were ladies and it is good to know that men are also invited to this event as men could also have some information about breast cancer awareness it is really important for their family too!.
To think that everyone of us getting very generous goody bags and many free gifts, I guess everyone was leaving the event with happy faces and I am already looking forward to attend more of future events that would be organised by the Pantai Holdings Bhd.
