HEAD to the Bukit Jambul Complex information counter if you think you have what it takes to become a beauty queen.
A RM3,000 cash prize awaits the winner of the Ratu Kebaya 2010competition jointly organised by the complex management and the service team of Batu Uban assemblyman S. Raveentharan.
Complex manager Siti Rohani Ibrahim said the first and second runners-up would get RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively.
“Come over and strut your stuff in baju kebaya if you think you have the looks and qualities,” she said, adding that registration for the contest is open until Friday at 7pm.
A total of 52 contestants have so far registered for the contest which is open to Malaysian women aged between 18 and 35.
Siti Rohani said each contestant would have to spend at least RM80 at outlets in the complex to be eligible for the contest.
“Contestants are required to buy a baju kebaya, shoes and other related items in the complex. We have more than 40 outlets selling baju kebayahere,” she said.
The first round will be held this Saturday and Sunday at the complex’s ground floor.
Thirty participants will be shortlisted for the semi-finals to be held on Oct 23 while the grand finals will be held the next day.
