COMEDIAN YUSOF CHONG DIES.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Veteran comedian Yusof Chong died from heart complication and hypertension at 3.30pm in Selayang Hospital today.
Yusof,63, famous for mimicking several politicians had been hospitalised for five days.
Son Ahmad Nuzul,28, said he last visited Yusof at 1pm at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
"My father said that he will not be around to celebrate Aidilfitri with us. He fell sick and was treated at Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani on Oct 22 last year.
"My father was on the way home to Jeniang in Sik, Kedah," Nuzul said at his house in Selayang Mulia, Batu Caves tonight.
Nuzul said Yusof who had a heart ailment since 2000 was a jovial person and took good care of the family.

Yusof leave four other children namely Zaliana, 32, Ita Zahirah, 30, Ahmad Shatri, 24 and Siti Nurbaya, 20.
His wife Zaleha Osman died in 1994.
Yusof was buried at Sungai Tua Muslim cemetery in Ulu Yam after tarawih prayers tonight.
Karyawan president Datuk Freddie Fernandez said Yusof's death was another loss to the entertainment industry.
"He was very talented and had brought fame to the country," he added.
