The then 25 year old Singaporean who was also the Miss Singapore Universe 1993 winner, did her country proud by winning the the prestigious Miss Tourism International 1995 in Izmir, Turkey on November 12, 1995. She beat 40 others and won top prizes worth USD10,000 in cash, a mercedes 200E, a fur coat, a pair of diamond earrings, 3 weeks holiday in Malta, a fully furnished apartment in Istanbul for her use for a year plus a chance to travel the world.
