The Miss Malaysia World 1978 scheduled for Oct 6, 2010 had been cancelled due to lack of time and sponsorship. Therefore, a private selection process was being done to select Malaysian reps to Miss World 1978, Miss International and Miss Young International 1978.
The closed event was attended only by press and invited guests. Among the judges was Miss World 1977, Mary Stavin from Austria.
