Megan Wong was among the 5 girls selected to represent Malaysia in The Miss Wonderland International 1987. And what a lucky trip it was when she won the second place behind Miss New Zealand in the competition which was held in Nagasaki, Japan in March. The 168cm tall beauty had won many placings in local beauty contest in Malaysia. At 16, she won Miss Taekwando Klang 1982.
According to Megan, all the Miss Wonderland 1987 contestants were taken on promotional tours to Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The judging during the competition was a bit different as the judges mingled around with the girls and only revealed themselves during the close door interview round.
