Shawante Kaur from Kontena Nasional Malaysia won the Miss Free Trade Zone Penang. She beat 6 other to the title at the Rasa Sayang Resort's Cinta's pub. 1st runner up was Fildaanis Mat from Sony Electronics while Janet Quik from Pokico Packaging System (M) Sdn. Bhd. Shawante also won Miss Photogenic title. She won RM2000 in cash and other gifts by sponsors
Other noted finalists were Janet Cheong of Read-Rite (M), Suzanna Che Ani of Hewlet Packard (M), Mizayatimah Yaacob of Sony Electronics and Hazlinda Abdul Rahim of Motorola.
