MIRI lass Edwina Yong Li Yen has been crowned Miss Sarawak Model of the World, beating 11 other finalists in the grand finale held in her hometown over the weekend.
Though it was her first beauty pageant, Edwina, 22, a full-time student and also part-time model was over-joyed when she won. She also won two subsidiary titles, Miss Model Popularity and Miss Model Body Beautiful.
The first runner-up was Christina Wong from Sibu, followed by Yvonne Supang Lukas. The third and fourth runners-up were Eva Maria Moritza and Fion Lau respectively - both also from Miri.

Yvonne also won the subsidiary title Miss Model Cover Look.
Contestants from Kuching, Carron Kho and Cyndi Liew, won the Miss Model Best Catwalk and Best Personality titles respectively.
Edwina will be representing Sarawak in the coming Miss Malaysia Model of the World 2010 which will be held in Ipoh later this year.
