KUCHING: Nur Hanie Syafira was crowned Miss Spring Time Mitsubishi World Harvest Festival (WHF) 2010 yesterday after she charmed judges with her beauty, talent and intelligence at the Miss Spring Time Mitsubishi WHF 2010 competition held at tHe Spring shopping mall yesterday.

Nur Hanie, 18, who is also the winner of another subsidiary title Miss Trendy Hills WHF, walked away with RM500 in cash, a sash and a flower bouquet presented by EON Automart Sdn Bhd Manager Simon Wang.
The first runner-up went to 18-year-old Ummu Khansa, who received RM300 in cash together with a flower bouquet presented by Jimisar Autotrade Sdn Bhd sales manager Tan Yik Siong.
Ummu was also the winner for Miss Talent WHF that was held on May 2 at the Old Court House, Kuching.
The second runner-up went to 20-year-old Khairunnisa Ismadi who received a cash prize of RM299 and a flower bouquet by tHe Spring’s advertising and promotion assistant manager Aida Abas.
The event was jointly sponsored by tHe Spring shopping mall and Mitsubishi.
It is one of the subsidiary titles for the Miss Fair and Lovely beauty pageant that will be held in conjunction with WHF 2010 at the Sarawak Cultural Village from May 29 to 30.
Other finalists in the contest were Dayang Zeffyshaffiqa, Kueh Mei Fung, Dayang Faisya Fazlynna, Dewi Liana Seriestha, Scherrie Amanda Kueh, Shahnaz Hai’adz, Aniscia James Barcally, Prescilla Raymond, Elizabeth Dorrie, Sharene Ormilla Ngilo and Sherryl Akhma.
During the contest, finalists paraded in traditional Orang Ulu costumes and performed a dance.
Other subsidiary titles up for grabs in the pageant were Miss Beautiful Eyes sponsored by Eyesight Optic, Miss Photogenic WHF sponsored by Anggun Bridal and Photography Studio, Miss SMS Voters sponsored by Unilever Malaysia and Miss Congeniality sponsored by Avid Management.
Miss Fair and Lovely WHF 2010 is organised by the Sarawak Cultural Village and supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Heritage Sarawak.
Among the highlights of the festival will include the staging of musical drama entitled ‘Batang Arong and the Sky Goddess: When Love Hunts for Magic’, musical performance from international and local musical troupes, workshops on traditional dance and music and Dayak food festival.
Tickets for WHF 2010 are sold at RM60 for adults and RM30 for children from 6 to 12 years old.
Purchases of tickets before May 29 will be sold at RM25 for adults and RM15 for children.
