Australian-based beauty specialist Church & Dwight has introduced Malaysia’s first cosmetic tooth whitener, Pearl Drops Instant White Ultra, an instant worry cure for coffee lovers and smokers alike.
Instant White Ultra is a tooth whitener that results in a whiter looking smile immediately when applied to teeth with a fine brush applicator.
The lip gloss-sized product forms a smooth white coating that stays on the teeth until brushed away with a toothbrush.
Malaysia is the first Asian country to launch Pearl Drops Instant White Ultra after the veneer was introduced in the United Kingdom in 2008, followed by Australia and New Zealand last year.
“Priced at RM52.90, Instant White Ultra is available exclusively at participating Watson’s nationwide and is the brainchild of Pearl Drops,” local distributor DKSH Consumer Health general manager Irene Chan said.
“We are especially catering to the demanding lifestyle of urban dwellers who always want to look good and regain their self-confidence,” she added.
Chan said that this beauty innovation for oral care was recently celebrated in the inaugural Miss Pearl Drops beauty contest, which began its selection process in February.
Grand prize winner Elisa Goh walked away with two return tickets to Sydney, Australia, in addition to RM6,000 worth of Pearl Drops product hampers.
“Instant White Ultra is very convenient and handy.
“It brought out my most confident smile,” Goh commented.
Meanwhile, first runner-up and coffee lover Moganavalli Anandam who bagged RM900 worth of hampers said that her confidence lay in her instant white smile.
The tooth whitener also received the thumbs-up from second runner-up Leong Ming Siew, who received Pearl Drops product hampers worth RM600.
“While nobody comes in a full package and flaws can make people interesting, this instant concealer certainly helped improve my personal outlook,” the medical student said.
Contestants of the Miss Pearls Drops 2010 Contest were judged by Female Magazine beauty editor Yang Mei Ling and Watson’s senior merchandising manager Thoren Tan.
