INTERNATIONAL celebrity Datuk Michelle Yeoh became a show stealer at the Cannes Film festival in France recently when she flaunted her green Mandalay jade necklace worth RM6.8mil.
She headed a line of glamorous beauties on the French red carpet this year, decked in exquisite Rafflesia jewellery. Rafflesia Pearl Centre owner Winnie Sin said this was her first collaboration with the much-celebrated Bond girl.

“When I met her at her mum’s birthday in Kuala Lumpur last month, she told me she was looking for something exciting to wear at the Cannes Film Festival.
“So, I invited her to come over to my pearl centre and let her choose her own jewellery.”
Sin: ‘Michelle just loves jade.’
Equally stunning was Michelle’s Imperial Jade butterfly brooch, which the actress creatively turned into her hair pin.
“Michelle just loves jade,” Winnie said, “And she’s very supportive of Malaysian-made jewellery.”
Rafflesia the Pearl Centre has given a generous sponsorship of more than RM8mil worth of jewellery exclusively for the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star.
“Aside from the brooch and necklace, Michelle is also wearing Rafflesia’s set of Golden Pearl earrings and ring as well as an Imperial Jade bangle,” Winnie said.
